Wanaka, New Zealand with Susan Allen

Breathing Health is a growing interest for many people. Did you know 80% of people don’t breathe correctly and consequently suffer from many conditions, from stress and anxiety to asthma, respiratory illnesses and sleep issues. Healthy breathing provides the body with the correct amount of oxygen it needs to complete all functions as well as giving us the energy we need to live a vital and abundant life.

BREATHING HEALTH

Breathing is vital to stay alive. But what is functional breathing? What are the symptoms of dysfunctional breathing and what are the detrimental effects on one’s health?

Changing your breathing will change your life, physically, physiologically and emotionally. Your breath effects all aspects of your wellbeing.

Some of the common symptoms of dysfunctional breathing are: sighing, snoring, asthma, coughing, holding the breath, anxiety, insomnia, hay fever, sneezing, nasal congestion, mouth breathing, bad breath and poor concentration.

Breathing is responsible for delivering optimum oxygenation to the body’s tissues and organs. If the breathing is not as it should be then obviously the body will be deprived of the oxygen it needs. All the processes of the body will suffer in different ways from this oxygen deprivation.

Detailed information on Buteyko including clinical research and condition related advice can be found here at Buteyko.info

In the first week of the course the breathing exercises are explained and practiced in detail with each person given personalised attention relating to their breathing habits. These breathing exercises are then practiced for a six week period 4 x a day for maximum transformative results. Each set of exercises take around ten minutes to complete, so the commitment required to dramatically change your health is 4 x 10 minutes each day for 6 weeks. We can give you strategies for fitting these into your day.

The breathing pattern that each of us has has been established over many years of bad habits; this intensive program has been proven countless times to reset the breathing so post course the breathing is re-calibrated to a healthy breathing pattern, and the majority of symptoms associated with poor breathing being significantly reduced or eliminated.
